Malyn is in Town

Malyn is about the happiest baby I've seen. She is in town visiting her Nama and Poppy and Mitzi and Maddie. And of course her Aunties. She smiles soooo big that her eyes almost disappear. She is the fastest crawler and can out run the dogs. Mitzi runs and just stays hidden and Maddie just stays and takes in the excitment of hearing "doggie" (sort of) and the pulling of her tail. Maddie loves babies and always takes what ever they dish out. Maddie lays down with babies when they sleep. Maybe she is part sheep dog.

Rug from Turkey

For those who know of the story of the rug we purchased from Turkey, here it is. I did remember it as soon as I saw it.
The story has a man that is speechless (but words that are mounting up inside him) and a woman with tremendous control and the Turkish countrymen behind her.
And they lived happy ever after.

Recuperating With a Positive Attitude

Now I know who my real friends are. Thanks Spell-checker.
This is how I get around now. It's a make-shift wheel chair out of my desk chair. With our wide hall way I've got it made and just removed all the throw rugs and off I go.
I can get into the refig.

I can do dishes and get water.

This is how I begin the rolling of the make-shift wheel chair.

Sometimes Jenny (auntie)and Jessica (Mom) toss Ryan back and forth and they all laugh.

Auntie Jenny always makes Ryan laugh. They are best buddies.

Rod and Ryan watching the Tech game.

Happy Son in Law, Texas Tech just made a touchdown.

Showing Ryan where we were for so long. He asked where in the world were you Nama? So I showed him.

Taking Ryan for a ride on my desk chair invention. So fun.

This makes it all worthwhile. He brings sunshine into each day. Thanks little guy.

Feet Week

This picture was taken Monday evening. I was feeling NO PAIN. Feet were numb. Didn't even need pain medicine. Now.....today Wed. my toes woke up last night about 36 hours after surgery. I took one of the pain pills this morning and I feel like I drank a few glasses of wine.
Ice Packs on the iodine toes. Actually the ice are on the ankles. Those two toes sticking out...the are not numb but the rest of them are. That was where the work was done. Morton's Noroma sp? is what I had.

Don't let the smile fool you, the picture was taken while the feet were still numb. But I must thank God for a successful surgery. And thank him for all my family and friends.

Still working on the 1.000 pictures -Meanwhile....

Picking up Jenny and Angie from airport. Home from Maui, HI. Golden brown and in shape (exercised each morning) and tired from long flight and time change.
Maybe he's saying his first prayer? Or looking for the thumb?

I guess it was his thumb because he found it and started to fall asleep until I flashed the camera with the red eye warning flashing first.

8 Random Things

OK I've opened my big mouth and asked to be included in the 8 random things you don't know about me. Now what was I thinking. I'm not sure I have anything interesting enough to tell but I'll give it a try. For those of you that don't know, my daughter tagged me (because I complained about not being included in the list) meaning that I have to tell 8 things people don't know about me. Most poeple know everything about me because I'm so old, people just find out stuff.
1. I've made chocolate chip cookie dough and never baked it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Once. I sort of had a tummy ache. Also I'd do it again but I really know it's not good for me.
2. I took a piece of 1 cent bubble gum when I was younger and got caught in the store with a long line behind me. That moment has stayed with me all my life.
3. I talked to myself in the mirror. Sometimes my image answers me. ( that was me saying what I would think the other person would say) I would practice saying things that I know people would ask me. Weird I know. Especially when it never worked out like I practiced. I don't do that anymore. ha. It's been years. Hang up the phone now, I'm OK.
4. I sing and dance in the house when no one is here. If only the dogs could talk.
5. I was sort of a hippy for about a year.
6. I'd rather get a new computer or gadget than a diamond or jewelry.
7. I love history.
8. I love Survivor. The reality TV show.
