Weekend at the coast with Denise and Chip

We were welcomed with flowers and "welcome Dad and Pam" card and towels and map to where Denise worked. Such a sweet warm welcome.
Lots of special touches just for us. She is so thoughtful.
There was fruit, veggies, cheese etc. in the refig. Snacks. She thought of everything.

We went to dinner at Beulah's restaurant.
Looking at the view from the patio.

Saturday Denise brought breakfast taco's and coffee over and then time at the pool followed by a walk on the beach. A fun relaxing and catch up day. Also sat on back patio of condo and there was a breeze. Front porch was probably 10 degrees warmer then back. ??

What a surprise. This was all new to me. I have NEVER seen so many people on a beach except at, Destin, FL.
Cars were double parked and tents everywhere and wall to wall people.
There were golf carts in town and on the beach. Rentals in town. The place has exploded from the time I've last spend time there during the summer.

It was crowded both ways for what looked like miles.
Needless to say we walked a little then went back to the pool.

Forgot the camera saturday night, but we had a great meal at Denise and Chip's house. Beef tenderloin, double baked potatoes, mushrooms, and salad. Wonderful meal.

Chesley became friends with Denise's dogs as well as they with him.

After a round of golf Sunday morning with Chip we ate at Kody's and had some of the best fried shrimp I've had in a long time.
Thanks Goode's for a fun filled weekend.
Much more then we ever expected. You are very gracious hosts.

Busy Time at the Mays

GRADUATION
Ryan's Graduation from pre school to Kindergarten.
Hat's off for the graduate. Already a pro at throwing.

THE PROJECT
Blood, sweat, and tears went into this corner piece for Ryan's room.

Chesley has all the tools for making just about any request that is asked of him. Thanks so much. What a heart of gold when it comes to helping out. Great job.

Done! Just needs a coat of paint.

This is a picture of the finished product. Jessica and Rod are getting the beds.

 CHESLEY'S GARDEN IN THE CAGE.
NO ANIMALS ALLOWED!

Not much room to go into the cage. Scary to me!

Better view of the cage. Some of the tomatoes are falling off before they are ripe so you can see them in the cage on a ledge to ripen.

You should be proud Chesley. Great job and always ready to share his picking.
Nothing like a home grown tomato. They don't even compare to the store bought one. He has brought a little of my youth (in Ohio) home to me. We have fruit and veggie stands on every corner with some of the most delicious summer crops ever. August we'll be eating Ohio corn. Yummy.

BIRTHDAY GIRL. MATTIE SUE.
Day at the bowling alley with their homemade poodle skirts by Stacy.

Can't forget the American dolls the girls play with. They got one as well.

COUSINS!
This is Tex (my cousin) and Fay, his wife and daughters. So fun getting to visit with them.
Tex and Fay are from AZ.

That would be me, Tex, and my mom.

PARADE OF HOMES
This is one of Chesley's favorite. Outdoor theater with pool and outdoor kitchen/patio.

I'm a little more realistic and like and want this mantle. Along with the gray walls in most of the houses, the electric retractable attic stairs, and lots of decorating ideas.

ELI
Youngest of grandchildren.
Star Wars lightening sword-introducing their new sofa.
Eli far right, Mattie Sue left in corner of new sofa.

The Incredible Hulk sporting a pink and silver hand me down bike helmet.
He's ready to ride!!!

Texas boy at heart! He loves his boots!

Our little man is working on a commercial.
Do not disturb!
Hold the screams girls. He'll give you autographs when he learns how to write.

RYAN
Ryan got a sleeping bag and like all little boys he slept in it the first night and carried it down stairs in the morning.

HEART
Girls expressing their love for Nama. :) They so have my heart!

SAMMY SAMERTON!
With the big brown eyes.

MOTHER'S DAY
Jenny, painted me a book mark, Jessica, gave me a monogramed book bag. Stacy gave me a book. "Grace Notes"
Great minds think alike. Thanks girls Love them all.

DINNER OUT (CAN'T REMEMBER THE NAME)
Yes you got it right that is a chicken foot.
Janet, aka, Honey, devoured it, can't say this gourmet cook won't try anything. Nothing chicken about her.

The main meal, yes the above was an appetizer.
This Red Fish was "all there" for our dinner. Eyes and all. I suddenly had to visit the restroom.
There really were some good dishes on the menu that we had but only took pictures of the strange looking ones.
I will edit this part when I remember the name of the restaurant.
