Boy's Weekend

What a son in law!!!!! Fishing weekend with Rod and Russ Tootle. I can't blog much because I'm not sure just what the true stories really are. I heard some fish stories but only have one  picture of a fish to blog.

Where are you're fish Russ? I heard a few fish stories floating around. One being Russ caught most of the fish but...........since Chesley had the camera it some how didn't get documented. Any pictures Tootles? I'll post them if you send them. :)
We have a Flounder caught by none other then Chesley himself, then cleaned by none other then Rod himself. Yea that's what happens when you're the kid, Rod.
Here we have the captain of the boat and the host with the most. Thanks for a great weekend guys.
The true fisherman and wonderful son in law to have both dads for a whole weekend. Not sure I want to hear the stories. OK girls, it's our turn next. (girls weekend). hummmm fishing is out but we'll come up with something and let you know. :)

June Happenings. A little of this and a little of that.

Ryan and Nama watching "Toy Story 1"

Ryan with his Lighting McQueen ice pack after a bump on the head.

Father's Day hamburger picnic on Sat. Chet, Diane, and Jenny. Jackie, Denise, Chip and Jessica and boys were here too.

High School friends putting on a shower for Kim. What a fun day visiting with the girls. All grown up and cooking and putting on showers, getting married, having babies.
Mom and me with Chesley having lunch at the JW Marriott San Antonio Hill Country Resort for my birthday. Then on to another part of the resort to see the beautiful, one of a kind, hand blown art objects by Gini Garcia. http://www.garciaartglass.com/

Couple of photos of the hand blown wild flowers that hang from the ceiling in part of the resort.

Jessica and Minny (Denise's dog) and Samuel having a fun filled father's day.
Happy Father's Day Chesley
Special moment with Nama Dotty and Samuel. She almost had him asleep. Nothing better than a great grandma snuggles.
Here we have Jenny trying to set up her compass app. Not sure she did it. She thinks it was a scam. ??

another year older...

How can one be so lucky to have three desserts for my celebration?
Sweet Ryan kept saying, "Happy Birthday Nama" from where ever he was. He loves to celebrate birthdays. His enthusiasm was the best gift I got.

Jenny and Ryan eating on "the line" between the kitchen and the den. Then of course the mom that made it all happen. Thanks so much Jessica. You made my day special.

Welcome to Texas Mom

My mom, girls grandma, my grand children's Great Nama Dotty. You would never know. She can use the computer and looks much younger then her years. We have a hip matiarch  in our family.

Here we have the new washer and dryer. It finally is set up to go. There is a story that comes with this washer. After a flood on the floor, twice they finally figured out it was the drain. (Which is exactly what she said in the first place) She is now in business with her laundry. I had been doing it which was fine but she got a deal she couldn't resist and so there you have it. She's almost completely settled and I think she's happy. Time will make her a real Texan. She is doing pretty good so far.

Thursday

My mom is still unpacking some of the last of her boxes from her move. They are the ones marked "last to open". They are things that she has wanted to look at and has been saving for many years. She had a good time looking over some of these things. I have always loved hearing stories from my mom from the time I was a little girl. It's been such a joy to go over and visit her when ever I or she wants too. I've heard stories and relived different experiences we have shared over the years and it's so fun. Thanks mom for moving here and being such a good sport at making the move and adjustments it takes to move from a small town of 7,000 people to the 8th largest city in the US.
So I collected some boxes from my mom's and then the Tootles for more packing at Jenny's.
Kitchen, laundry room, craft room, bathroom, hall closet were all cleaned out and packed.
while sweet Lola slept :)...

and Jenny ate. Haha no just kidding. She did most of the packing and cleaning out. I played Words for Friends, talked on the phone with her sisters, vacuumed,  and set up the little store for her friends to come and take what they want.  I did pack about four boxes.
Some of the funny things I heard her say from the other room: "O there you are drill battery", O my gosh here is my black  purse. It's been missing almost right after I got it", Mom, I'd look like a hoarder if I lived here any longer"., Well not any more. There are almost as many trash bags and give away bags as there are boxes that are packed. Good job Jenny. Simplify!
