Moving in...

Moving day for the new addition to the loft kitchen.
Everything was moved out of the kitchen store room then I went today to help put it all into the new room that was built over the last month.
This is the new addition in the back and the original room in the front. All empty now but...
with the help of Luke (Jenny's boyfriend)...
and Michele (Lukes mommy) and Jenny
and me ..
This is the result after 2 hours.
continuation of the working room
and going around

and ending in the new room.

I missed a picture showing the door looking from the new room into the Loft. I'll try to find it and post it so you can get a better idea of what it's like. Wide angle camera would have been the answer for viewing the new addition.

SPRING IS HERE!

Just wanted to let a little spring into my families life up north. May the snows melt and the warmth from the south reach you all soon.

Rodeo

I'm not much on Rodeo's but today ended up being a fun day. Started off being dollar day. So instead of getting in with the senior fare of $5 we all got in for $1 each. The kids started off with pony rides and then we ate. Rodeo junk food. Corn dogs, chalupas, chili, beef sandwich, and the kids got french fries.
Ryan loved the little chicks. He was so interested in them. He's showing me one of the chicks that he recognized from one of his video's. "Nama, that little chick said the sky was falling"
Peek a Boo Hudson...
Peek a Boo Ryan...
Maybe next year we can ride on the rides like Hannah did.

Thanks for a Great Valentines Dinner!

Lois and David had the May's and the Gee's over for Valentines dinner so we could skip the crowds in the restaurants. CHEERS!
Guys grilling steaks.

Turned into Chesley grilling steaks. Chesley suggested to David how to grill so guess who got the full time job while we all came back inside.
Then the best part. Home made pie by Susan.

Chit Chatting. We all do it!!!!

Jessica thinks that this picture reminds her of...
this picture...
Can you imagine??

Last of the FL pictures...

I think this group friends are Sand Pipers. They never moved nor did anyone scare them away. They just stood there chit chatting to each other. I tried to get into the conversation but they weren't very happy with whatever I was saying. One turned towards me and let out a very loud squall. I snapped a picture and left.
Notice the beautiful colors of the water. This is Chesley doing his daily walk. He walked, I think about 5 miles. One can get lost in the beauty of the water. This picture really didn't capture all the colors in the gulf. At one point I counted 5 different colors. Beautiful.

This is a 26-foot-tall statue. It is the“Unconditional Surrender,” an over-sized depiction of a sailor embracing a nurse at the end of World War II. This statue is in Sarasota in a park.

First retirement vacation

Chesley and I made it to FL. We are visiting my dad and Joan at...
Breakfast boys solving the problems of the world.

Sea Captain and first mate and me taking our first steps on the beach. Cold and windy.
Dad waited in the lounge chair in front of the place while we walked on the beach.
Pam and Joan strolling down the beach.
Entrance to Sand Cay from the beach.
Mattie Sue this picture is for you. There is a little boy that is staying next door to grandpa and he has been collecting shells. He has a pretty good collection don't you think?
Can you tell which one is the visitor and which one is the snow bird? Hint: color of the legs.
Dinner out the second night in downtown Longboat Key. Great place and great crab cakes.

Girls Night In

The Puppet Team, F2 group got together and had a girls night in, instead of lunch for an hour or two. We started at 4pm and ended at 10:00. Our hostess with the mostest Cynde made from scratch...
Lasagna... yummy. Others brought the rest of the food and drinks. Salad, dip, bread, ch. chip cookies, and best of all chocolate eclairs hand made by Martha.
Jana's brought the drinks
That's not funny Susan. Don't be drinking my champagne.
After we ate we watched the bachelor and American Idol (pre recorded). This is Jana acting out one of the contestants on Amer. Idol. Does anyone want to guess who? We are all laughing but I caught Susan in action. Cindy did a pretty good impression but wouldn't let me post it.
Everyone was getting their places for showtime. Notice the pretty sunset out the doors. Laughing already.
Group picture without Jana but with me singing. American Idol want a be.
Group picture without Pam. We really need to figure out how to set up the timer on my camera. Cheryl, I've packed my instruction to the camera so I can figure it out while I'm gone.

Thank you Cynde for a great evening and thank you everyone for the great food and laughter.
