Epcot in Florida

Two days in Orlando and we filled one with Kennedy Space Center and the next with Epcot Center.
We felt like two young kids...
First ride- Spaceship Earth. (Inside that large amazing icon of the park.)
Micky and Goofy spotted me and called out for a picture.
Chesley went into this ride (Mission Space) feeling like a young kid. He walked out feeling sick. Note to older folks, go on this ride last, if at all.
There are two choices,  the easy ride (my choice) and the rough ride (Chesley's choice)
Mattie Sue and Malyn, Snow White said hello.
Here we are in Germany. Epcot is a great way to see Mexico, Norway, China, Germany, Japan, Morocco, France, United Kingdom, and Canada if you can't go there.
O Ryan I so wish you were here to see this miniature train. It was so neat and Poppy and I thought of you and wished you were with us. This is just a tiny part of it.
O kiddos, brought back a spoon full of sugar for each of you since you all are sick. :) Mary says get well.
Here we are in France where we saw a film celebrating the beautiful French countryside along with music.
I don't feel as young as I started the day. This will be me if I ever go back again.

Boynton Beach - Kennedy Space Cneter

Chesley and I visited my dad for a few days while he is in Florida. We had beautiful weather while there.
Dad and Joan waiting for our table at Mama Mia's Italian place.
Chesley found time to relax and read.
Dad and me right before we left for...
NASA
Chesley and I LOVED this day. This really takes more than one day as far as I'm concerned. We have a much better idea about what is going to happen February 24. We walked throughout the complex and reviewed the history from beginning of the space program to the updated launch this Thursday.
This is where it's all going to happen and I'm now very excited to watch it Thursday.

We all had to walk around in these suits. :) Just kidding.
Next post (probably later tonight will be our day at Epcot Center).

Happy Valentine's Day (early)

I love the commercial for Olive Garden where the grandma, daughter, and granddaughters are having dinner. With Valentine's Day right around the corner I had my chance. So I planned a Valentines Dinner with mom and Jenny and Jessica. (Stacy we missed you) We went to Carrabba's and I told the girls I wanted a picture of us just like the one on TV. We had many moments during dinner of that exact scene. But of course never thought of the camera at those moments, so we sort of staged one. Wasn't hard to do because we did laugh a lot of the time.
There is an apple strudel with a John Cole (ice cream and coated pecans) sitting in the middle of the table. GONE in a matter of minutes. In fact I didn't get but one bit of the ice cream because I was so determined to get this picture so I could capture the evenings event. :) I'll hire a photographer next time.

After a fun filled evening and full tummy's and some tired folks we took our left overs home. Yummy.

Happenings at Nama and Poppy's house

I got Chesley to try out my favorite routine of breakfast tacos and Starbucks coffee over the holidays. Looks like he enjoyed it.
Samuel got his first hair cut.
Jessica and Jenny and I went to Ikea in Austin for the day. They found lots of treasures and then tried to figure out if they really needed everything they got before going through the check out. Shopping with mom isn't what it used to be....
We have a walker...
and a jumper (Malyn at Bigz)
Eli cooing at ?? his sisters? mom? dad? or TV.
Boots fit, finally.
CA girls heading home. :(
Chesley bought me a new car. He keeps trading in my cars. At least he's not trading me in. !!! :)
We had some snow as everyone knows. Freezing weather and ice and some snow puts this city DOWN!
Jessica and the boys spent the night with us. Jessica and I were determined to stay up and wait for the snow to fall. We didn't make it. But woke up to this in the morning.
So we put Ryan to work right away, shoveling out the front walk way. It took him a while. We don't have that BIG fancy equipment they have up north.
Snow was on streets, sidewalks, fences, driveways, roof tops, etc. But not on the grass. I think there was a layer of ice then some snow so it stuck for a while.
What else does one do on a snow day after walking in it, feeling it, taking pictures of it, and playing in it?
We put a 1,000 piece puzzle together.
Samuel loves bath time at Nama's house.
One thing we forgot...
making chocolate chip cookies.
