Da Boys

Hudson and Ryan with the moms at swimming lessons encouraging them to jump in. They really did great. Ryan has the elbow, elbow, knee, knee (getting out of the pool at the side) down pat. He's really a very good swimmer and golfer. So what's is going to be Ry?

Father's Day/ Birthday

I put all my dad's letters that he sent to my grandparents while he was going through training for becoming a P-47 Thunderbolt Fighter Pilot into a book for him to read for Father's Day.
The letters were put into acid free sheets then put in order and labeled at the beginning of each air field he went too.
Turned out the book was almost 7" thick. Full of my parents life for one year of their life when they were 20 & 23 years old. What a gift it turned out to be for me.

I actually celebrated my birthday Wednesday afternoon, Friday night, Sat. night and again on the actual day, Father's Day, Sunday.

One of the three celebration's. I'm so spoiled.
Thanks Jana for the yummy cupcakes.

This is Ryan leaving our house on Sunday with his Handy Manny Tool Box. He never leaves home without it.
Father's Day/Birthday. Jessica made special french toast, fruit salad, scrambled eggs, and bought HEB cinnamon rolls. Jenny brought the whipping cream and made the bacon. Rod, Chesley and I watched and ate the wonderful meal. Stacy, Boo, Mattie Sue and Malyn too, you all were missed.
Jenny and I began our wonderful three days downtown at the Renovare, an International Conference Spiritual Renewal Sunday night. What an inspiring, eye opening memorable few days. We started off each day with me getting us each a Starbucks coffee and Jenny getting us an egg taco. We would meet at the corner of 281 & Bitters parking lot and get into my car and head for the Municipal Auditorium.

Not a good summer for Veggies at the Mays

The peppers made it, they are to "hot" for anyone to bother them.
O so sad. Looks like the end of the growing season but this is what we have this year. So Chesley goes to his brothers to get fresh homegrown tomatoes. I'm to scared to eat the ones we do manage to get.

Yes, this is the sad cage this year. I think CE is going to chop down the peach trees. He thinks they are doing something to his tomatoes and besides the wild life in our yard eat the peaches before we can get to them.
Then we also have brown patch. So we put corn meal on it. So now we'll have a 100 birds landing in our yard to eat the corn meal, which will make the dogs bark.....

And if that isn't enough, our wild animals living on our property are digging up our gardens and yard. I guess they are after the roots. ??? Whatever, there are other yards in SA.
More evidence of the late night snack going on while we are sleeping.
One has to look up to see any beauty in the Mays yard.

The Dodging Duck Brewhaus

Emmaus Group having lunch. What a fun loving group. Always full of laughs and stories. The food was great.
Cindy's friend owns this brewery and he showed us how they brew the beer.

Bridget's granddaughter was visiting and joined us for lunch.

Visiting with two of my family members...

Jenny
COFFEE FOR A CAUSE:
This is the coffee Jenny made for me with a special treat on top, along with 1/2 waffle. Always a great Sat. morning breakfast.

Another one of Jenny's creations. Cups tell about the Loft's coffee.

These are pictures that were transferred onto canvas. They are the orphans in Africa that Riverside Church help out. New project is a food garden. Very interesting adventure they are taking on. I'm sure there will be more to hear about on the Loft blog.
Children praying in an African orphanage.
Ryan
Nama, I'm funny. Ryan would walk around with that Dora bowl on his head without holding on.

"May I have some mow please?"
Watching his girl friend..... Dora.

Ryan

Watching "Praise Baby". Ryan was doing this for about the first 5 minutes straight.
He then started to react to the pictures.
I think he is saying, "Please Nama, enough with the pictures"
It's a guy thing...
Laughing....
Laid back just watching.
O all the new video's from Nama, lets count. And he did.. 1-2-3-4.
Thanks for babysitting me Poppy. You pass. You did a great job.

Last Night

Breathtaking views and our last sunset in Hawaii.

This is the view from our dinner table tonight. Longboards on the water. They had '60's music playing.

Woody, surfer car.

Rainbow for our last night. Always something surprising for us to see each day.
We took a drive toward the Kapalua Bay area to see some more views and also see some turtles.
This is the path towards the turtles in Napili Bay.
This is a turtle. You may have to really look. He's mostly under water.
