Animal Kingdom at the May's

So we seem to have a problem here at the May's house. We have carried off two opossums so far. We want to get the armadillo that is digging up our yard. BUT after seeing this: Is it smart coons, armadillos, or opossums or maybe a squirrel? We set up the friendly heart trap, put in food, made a V shape fence for them to follow into the trap. Chesley put paper on the bottom to keep the poop from getting on the ground and making a mess. Well the mystery animal managed to get part of the paper out and some of the food without getting inside.

Not funny little critter...

So with some research, and some detective work and some input from friends we set it up in another place with no food but just dirt under it. Chesley even dug up some worms and put them in the dirt, like the worms will stay and wait to be eaten since animals in our yard seem to be so smart.

So stay tuned and I'll show you all what will be waiting for us in the morning... Any guesses on what we'll catch with this set up?

Our back yard is a mud puddle when it rains.
Lost most of our back yard with the lovely drought.

Loft Coffee House

This was such a surprise to me. There are twice or three times more coffee carafes lined up and ready for people to get their coffee. Notice the baked goods cabinet is almost empty at (notice clock) 9am. That is two hours of lots of people coming into the coffee house getting coffee and warm fresh baked goods. Yes, that would be my daughter making my tea.

Closer up of the coffee carafes. Doubled up from the last time I was here.
And my favorite, Chai Soy Latte and warmed cinnamon roll.

Final phase of the Ohio trip

Thanks Karen. We had a wonderful time. Great weather you ordered for us and lots of laughs and hugs, listening, bonding and yet another fun filled weekend.
Started the weekend off with Carol's famous Margarita's. They were ready 24/3

Another game the first night. We all laughed so much but I never caught the full out laughing because the camera never stopped shaking.

The Mag. 7 plus a friend that met us the last night together.

We are off for a shopping spree in a little town near by

but they didn't like us in this little town so we decided not to give them any of our money. Gosh we were talking officer, we didn't see the light change.

"99" card game was a huge hit.

A fun spot we stopped for pictures. On the Lake.

The Great Lakes. How many? And the names? Anyone know off hand?

Closing in on the last week in Ohio

That's right Mitzi and Maddie we are off to grandma's house. After dropping the Arnold's off we headed to my mom's house for a couple of days. The dogs are becoming pros at the car routine.
My mom and I ran some errands. One being washing a very large quilt which was to big to put in her washer so it was take out and bananagrams for the wash/dry cycle. Fun day mom. We make a great team.

After outside errands we started on projects around the house which was fun doing with my mom. Cleaning out cabinets, reading old letters, old games, etc. Much more but fun and a walk down memory lane.

After two days at my mom's we headed back to my dad's. Joan, Dad, Chesley and I went to lunch.

Chesley and I took a golf cart ride around the golf course after lunch. Beautiful and peaceful!

Some of the scenery we saw.
O see, just can't capture the beautiful view and the peacefulness.

But you can try to imagine.

Maddie Sue and Malyn and Ryan this picture is for you... There were 6 turtles on this log but when Nama got closer some slid off the log and into the murky green water.
