On to my Dad's house

And we're off for the next phase of our trip... My dad's house.
Chesley and dogs in front seat, girls in back watching the movie, Stacy and me in the back seat.
Ahhh grandpa's house is full of toys. This is just one cabinet full of fun play things.

Girls found lots of fun things to do right away.

Walk on the rock pier. We got almost to the end and it suddenly started to pour down rain. O what a fun run that was. Everyone was so wet.
On the CIC pier. My girls used to jump off this pier a hundred times. Now there is no jumping! So we have a model and a jumper.

Grandpa gave us all the $5.00 tour after a wonderful lunch at the CIC club.
Next few pictures are of some of the sweetest corn you'll ever have.

Children of the corn...
Mom and daughter in the corn. What's with the corn?? It's like wonderful, so sweet and good you just want to jump right into it, so we did.

First evening out on the deck. This is Chesley favorite place to go each night.
Daughter and Dad.

Snow White and the seven dwarf's house.
Mattie Sue helped mom drive the golf cart. You did great Mattie Sue. Thanks.

Sweet Malyn.

Best dinner of the trip. Can you tell who hasn't eaten yet? Or can you tell who doesn't want her picture taken, or how about the bread eater, and also the happy grandpa that has his family with him.

This is Friday morning and it was so cold and we were covered in blankets and the girls swam. Sometimes you just have to take advantage of the time you have. You can't see the waves as wild as they really are. Also the sound of the crashing waves and the wind causing the water to spray us. BUT Stacy was determined to stick it out and stick it out we did and it was a fun day after all.
The Ohio Life Guards. Now this is some picture. Ya think they'll go in the water to save anyone?
Hard picture to see but Boo finally got to come after all the auditions and they all had a family fishing evening and CAUGHT A FISH.

Mattie Sue, "Nama, daddy caught a fish this big" Now is she not the chip off the Old block or what? Cindy/Dennis, Janet/Steve, remind you of anothe fish story?

Boo and Chesley playing something on the computer. I'll be editing this picture with the right name or a name...
and we are playing Bananagrams, eating Oreo cookies and drinking milk.

And the waitress coming out with our drinks around the sand box on Sunday. Way to go Stacy, we know you would get it. Thanks. Baily's, two Margarita's and two strawberry milk shakes.
Biggest sand box I've ever seen. How perfect is this? Kids play in there and we sit in the chairs and relax. Ahhh.
Auntie Bev and Uncle Don came over to visit (thus the drinks for us girls). Fun afternoon chit chatting. What girls do best.

Mattie Sue and I watching the sail boats coming in after a beautiful windy day of sailing.

And our farewell dinner with the Arnold's. Sweet corn on the cob and hot dogs and baked beans.

Ohhhh, so fun! The dinner picture is hilarious. Grumpy pants all around the table except for STacy's sweet smile. The trip looks like lots of fun! I too would have stuck it out at hte pool just to "be in the moment at CIC, and to let Ryan play." wish we would have been with you guys.

give grandpa big hugs and kisses. Love you all!!!!

What wonderful pictures of so much fun!! Love the deck, too! Love the big trees that you can actually hear when you sit outside...something I will never, ever forget.
The sandbox is great...what a perfect spot to sit and talk...and the kids stay busy...and the moms/grandmas/and aunts stay cool..
rarely happens here in SA.
A beautiful family making such precious memories!
Hugs to you all!!!

I love your trip stories. I don't want it to end!!! Everyday I check for the next chapter. Maybe you should write a Blog Book. I challenge anyone in the United States to find better sweet corn! I've never tasted better since I left Ohio. These Texans don't know what they are missing.
