Smores

This was all inspired by Kim and her family. They discussed the Great microwave debate and I just had to add my two cents in there. This is my answer for the smore's part............
Gas stove, fork, and pot holder for the fork.
Yummy. Try it Kimbo............

Fun was had by all !!!!!!!!

Some things never change. Just like we used to do back in High School. Getting ready to go out. We would go to one another house and usually put the finishing touches on our make up or outfit.

Daughters that are looking at this, this is one of your moms rooms.

Pat wanted to show us her SA shirt that she got 13 years ago when they were here last.

We found some bulls!! and the girls gathered around and of course the photographer snapped the shot.

About to enter the Botanical Gardens.

Lots of people and it was dark for us old folks but believe it or not we did like the music. But next time we will come during the day. This is the first band we listened too.

Carol was lost in the music but I caught Leslie's attention.

We are having fun. We are waiting for Pat to buy a beer that she thought I said I wanted.

Wind comes along and this tree moves. Or looks like it is moving.

Carol in the Rose Garden. We walked around as much as we could but for sure needs to be seen in the day light. Although, it was interesting with all the lights.

"Is that a pineapple up there"

Something tells me they are ready to go.

O yes this is me drinking the beer Pat bought me. I never drink beer but happened to mention maybe I'd drink one and sweet Pat stood in line and bought one for me. Thanks Pat. I did like the three sips Pam and Leslie left me. Actually surprised me. I just might try a beer again sometime.
Beautiful flowers. I need the name tags to tell me what they are.

This is 6:05am Sun. morning. Shirley is doing a little good bye dance for me. Five girls left first. Didn't get a picture of Carol leaving. When I got home from taking five of the girls to the airport Carol had beds stripped (Shirley stripped hers) and laundry going.
Thanks Girls for a wonderful time and another week of memories.

Fredricksburg Trip

Ready for lunch after some shopping!
Turns out they had trouble in the kitchen and so they closed early and we didn't get to eat there. See the sad faces. They loved the place but we did buy cookies and they shopped in the cute gift gallery.
So we ended up eating in town at Bejai (sp?).
Pomegranate Margarita and Peach's and Cream Martini.

Day Two

Slow start but we all made it to the Loft Coffee House in Spring Branch for lunch. There was much discussion on what we were going to do today and I told everyone I wasn't going to drive all over town so we just planned on the Flea Market on Eisenhauer Rd. and said no to the Thrift Store................. but we low and behold, right next door to the Loft was the Hope Center Thrift Store so we went there then headed to the Flea Market for only one hour. To long! Then someone wanted to go to Harley Davidson for a sweat shirt and again the store was on our way home. Someone is on our side today. Too many woman and too many different ideas but it was all turning out.

Costco was the next stop. We needed Margarita mixing. Carol the pro bought it all and sat in the back of the car.

Home relaxing, some read.....

Some ate.......

Some helped in the kitchen.......

some played in the play room.....

some played cards..........
I was cooking white corn Chile for dinner. We go to Fredricksburg tomorrow.

They're here!

Here come the Ohio girls. Welcome to SA
We started the evening out with Carol's margarita's! All of us.

They loved the Mexican Snacks.

We watched "Dancing with the Stars"

Everyone slept late and we had a wonderful fruit bowl and bagels.

Morning, we are still laughing and having fun. Some of the looks are saying are you kidding about the camera in the morning. We all went to Artisan's Alley for shopping (forgot the camera).

A class mate of ours lives in TX. Reid and his wife, Ann, invited us over for cocktails. We all like Reid but sorry girls, he and I were boy friend and girl friend in 4th grade. Thanks Ann and Reid for a welcoming reunion.

Reid has us captivated like only Reid can do.

This is a picture of the mag. 7 and Reid. Funny how we all remember every detail about the high school days and yet have trouble remembering what we did last week.
Ann and Reid, thanks so very much. You have a beautiful home and we all felt so welcomed and really loved the drinks, especially Pam C.

After we all got our drinks, Margarita's, Reid said I'd just like to say something, and he began to softly sing our Alma Mater and our fight song, we all joined in and it was a special moment really. Sort of made us all one together. Good move Reid.

Right side of table singing.

Left side of the table singing.

Group picture at el Jarro's. Great fun and great food and reminder how old friends with time that separates them, never really separate their feeling for each other. Friends are friends forever.

We got home took showers (the one that didn't before we left) and got in comfy clothes on and watched Dancing With Stars then we recorded America's Got Talent but the Pres was talking during part of it. Notice that Mattie is really interested politics.
