Day one in Bellevue

Can't tell but when we drove up Tuesday night (almost midnight) my mom had lots of lights on and the house looked so welcoming.
Hydrangeas growing in my moms yard.
Nick name of this flower is Naked Ladies because they come up with leaves and then leaves fall off and the flower comes up. You can almost see the stem at the ground actually pushing it's way out of the ground.
We just left Momma Mia and are singing while waiting for our table at Olive Garden.
Looked like a good blog shot to me. Or a flair (for facebook fans)

On our way home from the movie and dinner we stopped at a corn field. Mom and I said we feel like we are in the movie " Field of Dreams".
Happy Chesley. He was raising his hands to show how high the corn is, but he looked like Ryan holding his arms up saying Soooo Big. So we deleted that one. He kept saying do you think this corn is good. This is a private field Chelsey, one can't just pull over and pick the corn.
Ohio Corn, looking good but I haven't had any yet. We can't find it. Going to look today.
Canadian Geese came to Bellevue.
Look Rod, you made grandma Dottie's refig.

Your photos always make me want to visit Ohio...it's an area of the country I've never been before, but it always look so gorgeous & welcoming in your photos. Have a great time!

Oh, I looooove the hydrangeas. You can hang them upside down, and they will dry, but I guess it would be hard to carry on the plane! The corn pictures are too funny. So glad your mom got to see Mama Mia. What great memories you are making!!

pam,

that looks like so much fun. reminds me of that last time we visited. in contrast with LA, i so enjoyed the peace and simplicity of Ohio -- ice cream, fishing, less noise, big front yards, all the smells out doors.

so glad you guys are taking it all in. we are watching the Olympics and thinking of you guys and wishing we were in Dorothy's living room watching with you.

:)

boo

ps. did she buy any of those sweet, surgary fried, snacks we had last time?
