GOOD NIGHT MAUI
This is eggplant all dressed up!
Cheers.

Look in the door and you'll see Chesley and me. This is the place we ate. David Paul's.
Mountain view with golf course in front.
More views.
Scene of the crime.... dropped camera that broke.

The whale bell. Click on the picture to see what to do if you see a whale.

The Gazebo. The breakfast place that is VERY popular as you can see with the long line. But well worth it. Banana Macadamias Nut Pancakes or Veggie Benedict or The Kahuna omelet. I recommend any of these. Half the price of the Westin buffet and fabulous.

Perhaps if you click on this picture you will see Chesley reading the paper by the pool.

Daily workout

Dad and I have been working out at the hotel. How do we look?

Went to Work Today...

Dad and I decided to go to work today. So after a pool side breakfast we headed for...
that's right for 7,500 Starwood points and 50% off any Starwood hotel stay within the next 2 years, we listened to an hour and half presentation for the Westin Ka'anapali Ocean Resort Villas. It was interesting, not a time share but a tempting offer but we stuck with our final answer. NO.

Our job brought about a large appetite so into Lahaina we went for...
Best hamburger in town and actually best I've had in a very long time.

Hilo Hattie's (shuttle stop) I should have had Dad stand by this shirt. It's the 2nd largest shirt in Hawaii. It's about 7' tall. So we have a big shirt...
Big Banyan Tree or should I say huge Banyan Tree and

Big flip flop (notice shirts in back ground)

Flamingo's at our hotel.
Our morning friends greeting us with Hi, Hello, Aloha, over and over again.

Can you tell I was just wanting to take pictures with my camera. haha. Still don't know anything other then auto set.

Another Sunny Day

6am Thursday. I was on shade patrol. A good patrol to be on. Very peaceful and quiet. Good "quiet time" then email update time (I chit chatted with Cheryl on IM) and Chai Soy Latte time. No one was here for at least 30 minutes.
Didn't make the sunrise but almost. Maybe Sat.
Keeping an eye on our room to see when Chesley wakes up and we head out for breakfast. Once someone claims a chair with towels, it's yours. Just have to get there before anyone else.
Day view from our patio.

We took a break from the sun and had the picnic lunch on our patio.

Word got out that the Mays were eating lunch.
and they gathered for Maui chips and cookie crumbs.
Came across these beauties on the way to the show we went to tonight.
Cirque Polynesta at the Hyatt.
(I posted this at 3:20 TX time) How am I ever going to get my body clock back on that time. Chesley won't have any trouble, he's snooring as I blog.

We started this day with it all planned out. First breakfast at The Gazebo. A place Jessica and Rod told us about. Long line but worth the wait they said. They were right. We met a very nice couple in line. The day was going as planned. The food was wonderful. I had the Veggie Benedict and Chesley had the Big Kahuna. :) It was wonderful. I took pictures going in and afterwards. I decide to take one more of some flowers and --- crash --- my camera went flying out of my hand and on the cement ground and bent the lens so I couldn't open or close it. :( I was soooo sad and couldn't believe it. Chesley said It's OK we'll get it fixed or just get a new camera. (Good Old Laid Back May) As we were driving back to the hotel we decided to check out the camera place next to the hotel. ... Gone, shut down.... :( Someone stopped us to ask if we wanted to take a tour of some new condos and I just said NO, this is not a good day for me, I just broke my camera and I'm very unhappy. He said I was a photographer and know something about cameras. Let me have a look. But he just shook his he head and said if I were you I go to Costco and buy a new one. So my sweet husband said, I think we should do it, otherwise we'll not have any pictures of our trip and the camera is a goner anyway. So he then said "Happy Birthday". And off we went to Costco and purchased a new camera - Canon Power Shot SX200 IS. It's very much like my old one but much better and with all the new updates. So I will have to wait until I get home to post the breakfast pictures unless I find a place that will transfer my pictures from my card to a disk.
So my reading at the pool side today was Camera User Guide. Here are a few of the pictures I took with my new birthday present. Haven't learned all the new things it can do but at least we have a camera.

The Big Kahuna posing for my very first shot with my camera.
This was a cloudy sunset tonight.

Yes you are right, this is a posed photo. Good blog material as I always say.

This is one of the hallways in the Hyatt.
There was a Lu ha going on at the Hyatt so I snapped a photo from afar.
Walkway from Westin to the Hyatt.
We will be taking this walk again tomorrow to see a show.
I just love the Palm trees

This sure beats my "Slim Fast"
Chesley has been dreaming about this breakfast buffet for a very long time. I'm sure everyone that is reading this has heard the story about how he has it all planned out exactly what and how he will be eating this breakfast.

This picture was taken by Chesley after breakfast. I loved how it turned out. These are the umbrella's at the Westin.
These are the flowers that are all over the grounds. It smells like this all over the Westin. They make Lei's from these as well.

Part of the pool above. You will see the cave a bridge in the back of the picture. There are waterfalls all over the grounds so you hear the sound of water falling, the smell of flowers, and there is always someone passing out Pina Colado's sp?

Angie, this parrot picture is for you. They say: Hello and Hi and Aloha.
The book I'm reading by the pool.
Chesley is reading up on the Maui News.
Dinner at Hula Grill then another beautiful sunset. This was a great relaxing day. Tomorrow we are going to a breakfast place that Jessica and Rod suggested.
