5K race is here. What a fun family day along with running, walking, and music, food, and just a beautiful day.

Jenny busy all day. Great job Jen.

This is jewelry that some African children made. they made some of it out of rolled paper.
Chesley and Pam right before the race.
Chesley, we aren't ready yet, they are just getting lined up.

OK getting ready for the beginning.
Getting last minute instructions...
Jenny's last minute instructions.
These are the walking, the runners have left...
Ahh sister Jessica made it. Her alarm didn't go off. Same thing happened to me two days before.
Chesley beginning the race.
Beautiful view on one of the turn arounds.
Jessica, Ryan, Cassey, and Tallie walking toward the end.
Lots of strollers and they had to go over some rough terrain.
Jenny and Ryan surveying the land and waiting for the kids to come back from the 1K.

The kids race was so fun. Kids ran, walked, some got some help and

some parents had trouble keeping up with their kids...
And some kids knew the ropes of the running. Their mom taught them. Hands were out to catch a congratulations high five.
You can see the look of "I did it" on all the kids.
Some kids needed coaching but willing to keep going.
Jen and the boys kept going and were so glad to run through the finish line.

This picture is one of my favorite. In front you see Courtney knelling down to great Mattie and Brian was watching from the side. And behind them you see the Heare's helping their little runner passing through the finish line.
Then we have the youngest walking.
Cassey, Jessica, and Tallie after the race getting ready for their gourmet picnic.
Band before the race!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Band after the race. Jenny is announcing the winners. The band ran as well.
The children got to take home a small tree.
Kyle won in his age group.
The gourmet picnic..
Cassey brought her dog on the walk as well. In fact there were lots of dogs that ran or walked with their owners. He is deciding if the Dr. Pepper would be thirst satisfying.

Welcome to the Loft Coffee House

Front door of the Loft Coffee House. We are busy inside. Not only good coffee and food are happening in here but Jenny is organizing everything for the Soul 2 Sole 5K Run-Walk.
Living with heart, soul and might.
Benefiting Uganda Children's Orphanage.

Jenny, I'm so proud of you. What a blessing you are to the community in Spring Branch. You have put YOUR Heart and Soul into this race and are doing such a wonderful job. I've been there the last three days to witness all you have been doing.
Yes that would be my breakfast, next to Jenny (bagel and cream cheese) brought up by Brooke. What a servant you are. Thanks Brooke!

Below are the rows of T-shirts waiting to be picked up. We are getting new sign ups all the time. Looks like there will be close to 200 runners/walkers. Being involved in the last couple of days have made me wish I had trained to run and try to win.

Soul 2 Sole is a family friendly, green event that celebrates the stewardship of our community, our family, our bodies, and our environment. See below, run fast and you may own a tree.
