All in ONE DAY

Bending Branch Winery was on the wine tour this year. First day open for tasting and selling of their wine. Well worth the trip out for an evening relaxing in the hill country, enjoying a Texas Tannat.

Here is the outside patio with plenty of seating and views of the hill country.
Inside the tasting room with pretty Kelly serving the wine.
We picked Ryan up at the River just north of the winery. (where he caught a fish) Perhaps that will be on their blog.
Next we went to Kruger Kamp!! Serious fun was had for an hour.
Really kids, What's with the faces? It's like none of you have ever seen a camera.
Now Ryan and Abby go way back and they were very happy to see each other.
Swimming buddies.
Katie was just a kicking away trying to keep up with her sister.
Now this perhaps may be the highlight of Ryan's summer. One he'll never forget I'm sure. Nor will we, as he continued to squirt us in spite of our telling him to stop squirting. Such a boy!!
Here's Piper fixing the creepy crawler pool cleaner and Katie and Joe talking about how she would rather not wear the floaties.

Abby is wondering if they can all come over and get in the hot tub when they get older, like in  HS.
Mimi with two of her 3 (almost to be four) grand kids. She looks pretty happy to me. Thank you Krugers for a fun camp time.
Then the finale that just might be up there with the bumper boats of one of Ryan's favorite summer events... UNCLE BOO was here and had breakfast with him and they talked about trains. Ryan was teaching him all the names of the engines so he could tell his new baby boy cousin. Now Uncle Boo will know all the princess names and all of Thomas the Trains names.

Three Day's a Week....

My mom's neighbor and my mom go to one of the two pools to exercise. Only way to exercise in Texas is in the water in the morning. So I joined the group and am loving it.
This is the big pool. As you can see we had it to ourselves.
This is the hot tub which of course wasn't to hot and we only posed here. I imagine in the late fall evenings it will be a great place to be.
Much to my surprise there is another pool. Much smaller but perfect for us as well. We like either one and have exercised here as well.
There is something to be said about apartment living! Thanks mom for the fun morning.

Bachelorette

The Final Rose goes to...
Melanie and Casey were busy feeding the babies and Kelly and Jessica in the back ground.

This delicious dinner was prepared by Michael along with salad and wine. We were ready to watch the outcome of the bachelorette.

Charlie: "How old are you?" Samuel: "8 months." Charlie: "I'm 3 1/2 mos. What's with the TV show about the bachelorette and that rose?" Samuel: holding Charlie's hand, "It's a show about some girl picking a husband. Our big brothers are upstairs playing cars and trains. As soon as we can walk we'll be able to go up and play with them and not have to watch this girly stuff on TV. Our dads deserted us tonight, we should be with them playing soft ball and golfing or upstairs with our brothers. So get out of that infant seat and try to walk like me."
Ahhh such a sweet picture of Ryan and Casey. Ryan loves his sleepy time hugs from Casey. He sure doesn't look like he's ready for bed.
and Jessica gets the final rose! Thanks for the dinner and show Jess. Great time!

Trains, trains, and more trains.

The Live Oak Civic Center had a model train show this weekend. So with a 3 year old grandson that loves trains we had to go. He was spell bound when we first walked in.. He then looked up at us and said I want a train!
They had little carpet pads for the kids to sit on and watch the trains go by.

Lego Village was a big hit with the young and old. Click on the picture to see more details.

Even Woody and Jessica found their way to the train show. (Yes Susan I did take your picture. sorry. You can put me in blog jail, it's ok, I didn't get the cute pictures you did. well I guess I did. hee hee)

Here is a serious model train scene. You could look at the train scenes for a long time and still not see every detail. It is just amazing the amount of work that went into making these.
.

Poppy had to hold Ryan up for some of the scenes.
Then there was the little boy train table where all the little boys gathered and of course there were booths set up all around the little table selling Thomas the Train trains for a lot more then Target. So we went to Target and Ryan picked out Flora and Toby to be pulled by his engines.

Our Train show made for three hungry people so we stopped at EZ's for lunch. While waiting for our lunch, Ryan and I made some tracks for his new cars. They are nothing like the tracks Mimi made. Impressed Mimi. You should have come with us. There is another show in Nov. In the picture I'd like to introduce Flora on the left and Toby on the right.

And there always is the iPhone with games to make the wait at the restaurant seem like fun.
